David Landesman

Practice

A member of the Criminal Lawyers Association since the 90’s, David represents clients facing criminal, drug, tax, customs, environmental, and other federal and provincial prosecutions – cases such as domestic assault, sexual assault, impaired driving, theft, fraud, weapons, robbery, criminal negligence causing death, trafficking in controlled substances, and other such cases. David handles extradition matters, and recovers client property seized by police as proceeds of crime, crime-related property, or in connection with other governmental seizures. David also appears frequently in youth court, and on appeals. He represents clients before professional regulatory bodies and Coroner’s Inquests.

Background

David attended the University of Western Ontario completing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1992. At Western, David was awarded the Chancellor’s Prize for achieving the highest grade in the Department of Social Science in his graduating year. David completed his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in June 1996. He articled with Paul Stern and Arleen Goss in 1996-1997 and has been in practice with Paul Stern since being called to the Ontario Bar in February 1998.
