James’ practice includes many areas of litigation: civil, commercial, insolvency, tax, criminal, quasi-criminal, professional discipline, regulatory, driving offenses, environmental offences, and administrative law.
James appears before trial courts, appeal courts, and tribunals, including: Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Court of Justice, Tax Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals.
James was called to the Bar in July 2003 after articling at Stern & Landesman. He completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto, major in Forensic Science and Psychology. James was one of the first graduates from the University of Toronto Forensic Science Program. He later completed two years of his law degree at the University of Manitoba and one year at the University of Toronto. He won the Tax Law award for achieving the highest grade in his Tax Law class.
